getting down to the wire

17 March, 2008

In just over a month, I have the following due for school:

  • (1) 10-15 page paper on the social construction of crime waves
  • (1) 10-15 page paper on gangster films
  • (1) 10-15 page paper on heist films
  • (1) 5-8 page paper on what responsibilities education entails
  • (2) 6 page papers on to-be assigned topics
  • (1) portfolio on a disorder that falls under the category of abnormal psychology, including 3 pages of introduction, analysis of three articles on the disorder, reading a book or watching a movie on the disorder and analyzing the accuracy of the portrayal as well as reviews of the book or film, interviewing two different people with two different viewpoints on the disorder (i.e. a doctor and a person who suffers from the disorder), and a summary of what I learned.

So…I have to write something like 70 pages between now and then. Holy buckets! It’s going to get very interesting in the next five weeks. Wish me luck, boys and girls.

P.S. Happy Green Beer day! If you’re not Irish, that’s what you’re celebrating. Disagree? What is St. Patrick known for in Ireland? (No cheating!) If you are genuinely of Irish descent and/or are married to someone who is, Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! Erin go bragh!

Red Blooded, White Ass’d, Blue Eyed American here lady.

I’ll have you know your St. Pat doesnt have a holiday, but has instead hijacked springfield’s very own snake whacking day. Snake whacking has a long tradition, and was even mentioned in the bible.

    I quote the Rev. Lovejoy
And the Lord spoke, saying, Whack ye all the snaked that slither upon the ground, and thy town shall be a beacon unto others

    Amen
