160!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A 160. I got a 160! That may not get me into top 14 school. But you know what? I DON’T CARE! It is an improvement over my previous score of 158, which is all I could hope for after my moments of panic during the logic games [analytical reasoning]. Here’s how things panned out:
- Logical Reasoning #1: -8 [ouch. I didn’t expect to miss that many on this section.]
- Analytical Reasoning: -8 [I completely expected this, and four of those 8 missed were ones I guessed on.]
- Logical Reasoning #2: -3 [awesome! wish I could have done better on the other one…]
- Reading Comprehension: -4 [great! a serious improvement considering I missed 9 on the last administration]
A 160 means that 81% of the people who took the test got lower than I did. A 160 means that I may be more in the running for scholarships than before.
A 160 means that I can have a genuine smile on my face for the weekend. After I’m done crying tears of joy because I was so worried about that stupid logic games section…

Congrats! You are right that a 160 will not get you into a top 10 (I got the same, so I am not trying to be mean), but you will find that it’s a great score to get you into a top tier school. Plus, if you pick a top tier school that isn’t as competitive (aka ranked in the 40-80ish range), you may find that a 160 is good enough to get you some scholarship $$. And who doesn’t love free money!?
