c’est la vote
30 September, 2008
So I decided to request an absentee ballot for the election because I didn’t want to spend $20+ extra in gas and worry about timing for getting all the way out to my polling place on a Tuesday. I had done the same thing in 2006 when it was time to vote for governor, so I knew what the process was like.
But I’d forgotten about the secrecy envelope:
I just love it. It makes me feel like I need to set up a voting booth in my kitchen. Maybe get something like a big tri-fold posterboard or something…

Hehehehehe.
Telling the Internet about it doesn’t count though, right? Of course not. We can keep a secret.
Well…at least I didn’t tell you who I voted for! Heh.
I would be tempted to send that vote to postsecret.
True, you didn’t, but that’s hardly the point.
It’s not your vote that appears to be secret. It’s the envelope.
(insert dramatic music: dun dun DUN!)
Funny! I was just filling out my request for an absentee ballot since I don’t want to drive an hour home on Monday night to vote Tuesday morning at home. I have not done this before, so I’m looking forward to my own secrecy envelope. 🙂
If I were a mail carrier I would want to open them up….
Colsy! If it wasn’t an official vote, I’d send it to Frank.
Rez: Ah, good point…
Delicious: Hee hee… Something else we share in common!
Llama: HAHAHAHA! So true. It be like “just a peek…”
Ha! PostSecret. I like that.
I tagged you!
I love the tiny pencils they send also!
Lawful Lady: I’ll have to check it out!
Kelly: WHAT?!? I didn’t get a pencil. *sniff*
I should have requested one of those for the baby’s name!!!!!!!!!!!!
HA! I think you’ve done just fine without the envelope. 🙂
